Manta: Maero Residential Home Hosts the Festival of the Village Elderly

Do not miss the traditional Festival of the Elderly, a long-standing event in Manta, on Sunday 27th November, from 3pm.

There is something new: it was agreed with the organisers that there will be a location change and celebrations with not the held in the parish hall but at the Maero Residential Home, a facility for the elderly managed by Sereni Orizzonti spa, a Friulian company that has specialised in the care for the elderly for 15 years.

The festival is organised in collaboration with the local organisation for the promotion of the area and is open to all the elderly in the village.

It will start at 3pm with a mass celebrated by the Vicar of Manta, don Beppe Rinaudo (in the hall at Maero Residential Home), with the participation of the local choir.

The mass will be followed by a buffet and small gifts will be given to all attendees. There will be a special prize giving to the oldest people, including a lady from Manta who has reached 102 years of age.

This is a particularly happy occasion for the residential home, as one of the objectives of Sereni Orizzonti spa is to achieve a full participation in the local community life by the residential homes it manages.
